FINE INDIAN 19TH CENTURY BHUJ DAGGER PROBABLY FROM KUTCH
An excellent example of this traditional Indian edged weapon – bhuj.
Elephant shaped pommel is inset with green emerald type stones and formidably forged curved blade is firmly fitting on it. The blade is elaborately etched with floral decorations. Some areas affected by dark staining. Concealed dagger is mounted on the back tip of the hilt and completely hidden unless unscrewed.
Good honest example, believed to originate from Indian Kutch.
The sheath is absent.64 cm overall length.
