ENGLISH NAPOLEONIC WARS ERA NAVAL OFFICER’S DIRK BY ICONIC MAKER DUDLEY OF PORTSMOUTH
A good English naval officer’s dirk for the first quarter of XIX century, with brass mounted hilt and in its original sheath.
The etching to the blade is rather faint and there is a thin crack to the bone grip.
Otherwise it is a magnificent piece, well preserved for its age, made by a famous British maker – Dudley of Portsmouth.
